About Talkthru

Talkthru offers a specialist counselling service for women and men facing pregnancy choices, or loss of a pregnancy or baby and other pregnancy-related issues.

Our counsellors provide loss counselling support to those who have lost a baby due to miscarriage, death or stillbirth, termination (including termination for foetal abnormalities) and through removal into care.

We have been operating in Kirklees as a registered charity since 1999. We have a committed team of volunteers who helped us provide hundreds of counselling sessions each year.

Talkthru is available to everyone.

We provide a non-discriminatory service to all (including under 16s) regardless of race, gender, sexuality, age, nationality, disability or religion. We offer appointments outside of school/college/workhours and we offer wheelchair users appointments at other venues. Appointments can be offered in person, by phone or video call.

Is there a cost?

No set charge is made for the service, but we ask clients to make a regular donation towards the cost of their counselling however minimal, as we rely on donations to continue the service. (However no-one will be refused counselling if they are unable to donate.)
