Current opportunities

Practical volunteering

  • Support our upcoming move - help transport and set up our new premises

  • Create calm, welcoming spaces - decorate or organise our counselling rooms

  • Organise and prepare resources for awareness packs or support groups

  • Assist with light maintenance tasks such as cleaning, minor repairs or refreshing

Skills-based volunteering

  • Lend your professional expertise such as marketing, design, HR, finance or ITt maintenance tasks such as cleaning, minor repairs or refreshing

  • Offer pro-bono support on projects like website management, bid writing, designing new resources or developing communication templates

  • Support behind the scenes development such as reviewing policies, helping with data management or advising on governance and compliance

  • Join our board of Trustees - helping to shape the future of Talkthru

Events and Awareness Volunteering

  • Support events and fundraisers by helping with stewarding, stalls or refreshments

  • Get involved with community outreach by sharing posters and leaflets or connecting us with groups who may not yet know about our service

  • Help us raise our profile online by sharing Talkthru’s social media posts throughout the year, highlighting topics such as baby loss, birth trauma, and maternal mental health.

We’re currently seeking qualified volunteer counsellors to join our team. This role requires a minimum commitment of 8-10 hours per month. Applicants must have

  • A Level 4 Diploma in Counselling (or higher)

  • At least 150 hours of counselling practice

As a volunteer counsellor, you’ll provide much-needed care to those going through challenging times. We also pay towards supervision costs for your professional development.
