Talkthru, is a counsellor-led charity, established in 1999 and the only charity in Kirklees offering a person-centred, non-judgmental, confidential, and specialised counselling service to people experiencing mental distress due to, pregnancy or baby loss and removal of babies into care.
During covid we have lost one of our biggest fundraisers, our 'baby bottle fundraiser' collecting loose change from individual supporters (usually raising £2,000+).
Unfortunately, the baby bottle campaign will not be possible for the foreseeable future so today we are moving our fundraiser online with a target of £2000 to raise.
We will update this page with a percentage to target each week and running total. Please consider supporting our fundraiser and sharing this page.
Examples of how your money could be used:
£5 - help provide weekly care calls for clients on our waiting list.
£15 - cover our helpline and office phone bill for one week.
£37.50 - average cost per counselling session provided in 2020.
£50 - help assess and process a new referral for counselling.
£100 - help cover our counselling supervision costs for two weeks.
